The Influential Grooming Lounge

Barbershops have long been vital spaces for authentic conversations, especially within communities of color. More than just places for haircuts, they serve as hubs for sharing experiences, discussing challenges, and connecting on a deeper level. These spaces foster a sense of community and trust.

About the event

Event Overview:

I am Reginald Gilmore II, LCSW, founder and CEO of Gentle Giant Counseling, and I am excited to facilitate this donation-based men's group at The Influential Grooming Lounge. This initiative, sponsored by Citywide, aims to create a safe space for men to engage in authentic conversations about their experiences, challenges, and mental well-being.

Importance to the Community:

Barbershops have long served as vital spaces for connection, particularly within communities of color. They provide an informal yet impactful setting where men can come together, share their stories, and support one another in their journeys toward mental health and personal growth. This group is essential for fostering community resilience and breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health.
