Coalition of Community Health Clinics


The Coalition of Community Health Clinics is a non-profit agency dedicated to the support of its members, a network of fourteen private, non-profit health clinics throughout Multnomah County. These clinics provide health services to the uninsured and under-served men, women, and children in the Portland Metropolitan area.

African American Health Coalition


The AAHC promotes wellness for African Americans who live in Portland, Oregon, with a vision to be the healthiest African American community in the nation. Our goal is to help reconfigure health and social services to meet the needs of African Americans. Our mission is to promote health and improve wellness in African Americans through health education, advocacy, and research.

Urban League of Portland


The League helps empower African Americans and others to achieve equality in education, employment, and economic security through a combination of direct services, outreach, and advocacy.

Growing Gardens


At Growing Gardens, we are focused on improving health and strengthening communities through home-scale organic food gardening. We plant seeds for good food and healthy people by teaching low-income families, kids, and individuals how to grow food in raised vegetable beds in their yards, on balconies, and even in containers.  We support our gardening households for three years with seeds, plants, classes, and mentors.

Human Solutions


Our mission at Human Solutions is to help low-income and homeless families gain self-sufficiency by providing affordable housing, family support services, job readiness training, and economic development opportunities.

Bradley-Angle House


We provide emergency shelter and options for healing to women and children escaping domestic violence. Our 24-hour crisis line is a resource for everyone. We hope you will find the information or support you need here.

Constructing Hope


Constructing Hope rebuilds the lives of people in our community through a skills training and education program for young first-time offenders coming out of jail, the prison system, and low-income individuals 17 and older, facilitating permanent job placement for program graduates to increase economic stability for families and the community, providing qualified workers with real-world work experience and skills training and engaging in community development projects that promote families and homeownership as a long-term goal.

Oregon Community Warehouse


Oregon Community Warehouse is a volunteer-based nonprofit agency in Portland that provides furniture and household items to people in need at no cost to them. Our goal is to help low-income individuals and families improve their quality of life by providing the basic items needed to set up a home.

Cascade AIDS Project


Cascade AIDS Project helps people with HIV put their lives back together, secure housing, find essential medical care and deal with the countless issues that make the difference between giving up or getting up and going on.

 

Hands-on Portland- Volunteer Opportunities


We will connect you with a volunteer opportunity that makes a meaningful, rewarding change in the Portland area. Build a house—Tutor a child. Care for abandoned pets. Build hiking trails. Lead a volunteer group. Join a nonprofit Board.

Jewish Family and Child Services


JFCS offers a wide range of human services, including individual, couple, family, and group counseling, services for seniors and people with disabilities, emergency assistance and referrals during the time of crisis, services for immigrants and refugees, and other specialized assistance for Holocaust survivors. All our services are offered without regard to age, race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.
